Is the MHC I overall structure the same, but the amino acids differ? what about the MHC II?

explain the role of leader sequences, do they get spliced out? for example we have V4D1J3, does V1-3 get spliced out or are they apart of leader sequence so they do not? I am just confused about what segments get cut out of mRNA as introns.

if you have a secreted IgM molecule that class switches to IgE that is a membrane bound antibody, does it go "back" to become membrane bound?

help me better understand restriction enzymes. I get that they cut (and technically a fragment can only become smaller not longer when a RE comes in and snips snips). but whats the point? to amplify a smaller region of DNA?

slide 7 shows gel electrophoresis but it shows that both no recombination vs recombination genes have the same size? but only when you do southern blot do we see a different pattern btw the two groups

what does the professor mean by we will only see activating signals when we deal with healthy cells (but still in lower concentrations?)

what do we need to know for cytokine receptor structure? he mentioned that if we knock out something in the receptor, what would happen overall?
